There is often the misconception that Stainless Steel is Maintenance free, while a wonderful and attractive material we recommend our stainless steel bollards be cleaned 2-3 times a year to maintain them in pristine condition.
There is also an increased possibility of tea staining occurring in marine or hostile environments making the case for regular cleaning and or the application of a protective coating. This client located in Seaforth, Sydney (a coastal suburb) was concerned that their bollards were discolouring.
