Our managers conference this year (20-23rd March) was held at the Crown Plaza Hotel at Coogee. It was a pleasant change from Leda’s head office at Tuggerah where the conference is normally held.
With many of the attendees from interstate the Coogee location and proximity to Sydney’s airport made transport much easier. Two of the three days were devoted to a workshop “Think One Team” hosted by their Executive Director Paul Lloyd.
Randall is Leda’s longest serving employee, joining Leda’s fledging Melbourne office in April 1996. For several years he was Leda’s sole employee in Victoria. Working closely with David Matthews, (Leda’s founder and current Chairman), and was responsible for building our Melbourne based operation.
As the company has expanded over the years Randall’s roles have varied, based around key account sales and technical development of the company’s core products – bike parking and security bollards.
Randall has been involved in many very high profile projects with some of the largest builders in both Victoria and South Australia and has been intimately involved in the project management and successful completion of these projects. Twelve years ago he managed Leda’s anti-terrorist bollard testing program at Monash University in Melbourne which resulted in Leda having the first ASIO approved range of anti-terrorist bollards, including Australia’s first automatic retractable bollard.
He continues in the role of national client manager for some of Leda’s oldest customers, including The Good Guys, Officeworks and Repco to name a few.
We would like to thank Randall for his loyalty, excellent customer service and dedication to the overall growth and success of Leda and our Victorian branch.
When Leda started operations over 20 years ago our first product were bollards so it is only fitting that our in house recognition for “service and assistance” is the “golden bollard award”.
On this occasion “Steve Cook” our Purchasing Manager is being presented with the golden bollard. Steve was nominated for the award by our WA manager Luke Newick.
