Our Queensland office recently negotiated a substantial Vehicle Access Control contract which included the manufacture, supply and installation of three very large gates and six boom gates to Darwin.
The largest of the gates required a 16.6 metre clear opening which provided us with a number of engineering challenges and was transported to the Northern Territory in two pieces. Being located in a cyclone prone location as Darwin, Leda’s engineers needed to redesign our normal concrete footings to cater for the higher wind loading requirements.
